This year my sister is getting married and I am attending my high school prom.  Mom thinks that the dates for each event are very close together.  I hope not because my family is starting get, let’s say, high strung about preparing for my sister’s wedding.  We are not rich, but we manage to make ends meet.  While my sister was shopping for her wedding favors and wedding garter, she found a very nice prom garter and some prom favors that she bought for me on the spot.  I love them!  Isn’t that thoughtful of her when she is under so much stress to get ready for her wedding?  She told me that she bought her garter but was having second thoughts because she likes the wedding garter belt better.  I told her she should go and exchange it right away.  We went together to take care of the exchange and now we’re both happy.  We are so lucky to get along the way we do.  We will always have a great sister to sister relationship.

I would have gotten frames for all my guests, but for some reason I just never thought of photo frames as wedding favors.  When I picked out my wedding frame I noticed all the lovely photo frame wedding favors they had to offer.  There were also some beautiful discount picture frames to choose from.  That would have definitely helped out in the budget department, considering all the guests we had. 

Kathy rented the neighborhood bar and grill for the evening so we could have our girls night out party for a friend at work.  She was so surprised when she walked in and saw all the bachlorette party supplies set up everywhere. Kathy really went all out on this party.  She even sent us all girls night out invitations and she made sure she had girl party favors for each of us.  We had a great time and partied until way late in the evening.  The bride to be was so happy she promised to have extra special wedding favors for each of us at her wedding.  She was overwhelmed with gratitude, and I think maybe, just a little too champagne. 

I’m still not decided on wedding favors.  I’d really like to get everyone personalized favors, so I’ve been checking around for the perfect personalized favor for each one.  I think I’ll get the women something feminine as a personalized wedding favor and get separate personalized favors for the men.  That could work out quite nicely.

My mom is so good at these things, so I decided to get her advice on wedding favors for my reception.  She showed me a whole list of gifts favors that were priceless.  Even the wedding keepsake boxes were gorgeous.  The best part was they were very affordable.  I’ve got a very large guest list, so these favors and gifts she showed me will be perfect.  Now all I have to do is decide which of the many keepsake gifts I’m going to give them.

We are getting married in February, on Valentines day and my decor is going to be all about the day for lovers.  Everything from my decorations to my wedding favors will resemble valentines day.  I even found the perfect photo coasters for that day.  They’re adorable little heart photo coaster sets and I’m sure everyone will appreciate them.  This photo coaster set is perfect for displaying a picture of your favorite love and makes a great photo coaster favor. 

I’ve never been to a wedding where the bride did not have her thank you gifts in decorative favor boxes before.  Every wedding I ever went to, they had beautiful little party favor boxes on every reception table.  I’ve never heard of putting the favors out without first packaging them in wedding favor boxes, or at least putting favor tags on them.  Who knows, the way things keep changing, maybe no favors boxes is a new trend starting up.  If so, I have to say, I prefer the old way.

When my fiance told me his idea of a wedding bell theme and that he felt it would make decorating easier, I had to agree.  My mind starting racing about ways we could implement them into our decorating.   When my mind starts racing like that then my instincts are saying, “Go for it!” and so we did. I started seeing a silver wedding bell hanging over each doorway. Then I thought why not go with wedding bell favors. My fiance loved the wedding bell favor idea.  So we both feel lucky to be on the same track with the decorating, and we’re thrilled that the wedding favors are finished as well.  What a team - Yep, what a team!

The reason I ask who wants to help me buy ring bearer pillows is because I’m tired and just want to sleep in tomorrow.  I only get one day off this week and I would like to rest, but the wedding is getting closer and closer so I it’s time to get up and get with it.  My thought sounds good in theory but I have to do it myself because I need to make sure I like the wedding ring bearer pillows.  I want to look at unique ring bearer pillows, preferably a satin ring bearer pillow.  Then it will be time to research for our wedding favors and I want them to be special.  Oh heck, I want everything to be special - who doesn’t?

Since neither one of us have any close relatives still living, we decided to choose a few of our closest friends and send them destination wedding invitations for our ceremony on a cruise ship to the carribean. They were as excited as we were about our destination wedding plans.  I chose a few of the essential wedding accessories to take along, like bridal accessories and wedding favors.  The cruise line helped with the decor and the cake and reception.  I had no idea I could get favors for destination weddings, but I did.  Our friends had such a great time, they’ve all decided when they get married their having destination weddings too.  We better be invited.
